Summary:
Kokosing Inc. is in search of a Workforce Coordinator that will support company efforts to recruit, develop, and retain trade/craft professionals. This pivotal role will be responsible for the development and implementation of our corporate recruiting strategies in the Mid-Atlantic region. The Workforce Coordinator will report to the Workforce Development Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with regional managers and area superintendents to support their job site needs, recruiting strategy, and retainment efforts.
- Conduct assessments to identify the skills and training needs of the workforce
- Analyze current and future workforce needs and work with hiring managers to hire and develop needed talent.
- Establish and maintain partnerships with trade and technical schools to identify and hire qualified talent.
- Assist hiring managers in creating and implementing individual development plans.
- Develop and execute targeted recruiting plans
- Coordinate current recruiting programs and engagements
- Attend career fairs and other company exposure events
- Analyze and maintain records for various recruitment programs
- Produce data driven reports for upper-level management
- Assist department managers with hiring and orientations as needed
- Document/communicate policy info
- Develop communication strategies to inform team members about available opportunities.
- Provide guidance on career advancement opportunities within the organization.
Qualifications:
To succeed in this position, an individual must have the ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment. Relevant experience in marketing and communication is also essential for success in this role.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Excellent computer skills - Microsoft Office Suite software: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Skilled at external affairs and public speaking
- Knowledge of construction industry is preferred
- Strong strategic skills to enable the development of people strategies
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to present data at a high level
- Bi-lingual is a plus
